Lea M. Johnson has nearly two decades of experience as both a grantmaker and grantseeker.
Early in her career as a program officer, she saw many promising nonprofits struggling to reach their full potential. It was not due to lack of mission, board vision, or staff effort. They did amazing work. Where they fell short was in effectively telling their stories and demonstrating how their core programs changed people’s lives. As a result, these organizations missed opportunities to excite donor passion and secure support for their mission.
Lea launched LMJ Solutions in 2005 to help her nonprofit clients bridge this gap in their fundraising efforts by developing:
• Strategic prospect research;
• Outcome-based program design and evaluation tools; and
• Clear and compelling grant proposals.
